Becoming A Christian
How to Become a Christian
God's Love is revealed - (Jn 3:16) God loves you. He wants to make your life full and complete. He not only offers you abundant life here and now, but an abundant life forever - His very own life.
Man is sinful - (Jn 3:18-19; Ro 3:23) God created us with a freedom of choice and just as Adam and Eve chose to disobey God and go their willful way, we still make that same choice today.
Sin has a penalty - (Jn 3:36; Ro 6:23) Our choice to sin results in spiritual death, which means being separated from God forever. The alternative is to believe in God's Son, receive His pardon for sin and enjoy everlasting life with Him.
Christ paid the penalty - (Jn 1:29; Ro 5:8; Jn 3:17-18) Christ, the Lamb of God, died in your place so that you might be restored to a relationship with God.
Salvation is a free gift - (Jn 65:28-29; Eph 2:8-9) God in his kindness wants to give you what you can never give yourself.
Christ is our salvation - (Jn 10:9; Jn 4:10; Rev 3:20; Jn 14:6) He is waiting to be invited into your heart and life.
You must receive Him - (Jn 1:12; 3:36; 10:10; 10:28; 14:6) He is waiting to be invited into your heart and life.
If You Want To Be Saved Please Pray this prayer: "Eternal God, I realize that I am a sinner. I have tried to live my life without you and have trespassed against your Holy will. I have sinned. Please forgive me for my sins. I believe your son Jesus died on the cross as payment for my sins. I now turn from all of my sins and am now giving my life to you Father God. Lord Jesus I invite you to be the Lord of my life. I believe that you rose from the dead and that you are now seated in heaven at the right hand of our Father God. I humbly ask that you put your Spirit in my life. Holy Spirit of God, please come and make you home in my life. Thank you Jesus Christ for saving me. Amen."
